Biography
Ronald Huxley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in child therapy and parenting problems. He is in private practice in Fresno, California, and works for his Counties Children’s Mental Health Division on their Intensive Services Team.

He spent six years as a Senior Staff Clinician for the Sullivan Center for Children and served ten years as a Community Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator for a not-for-profit organization. The president-elect for the year 2000’s California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist - Fresno Chapter, Ron was the recipient of a Child Abuse Prevention Awareness award in 1996 for service in his local community.

In addition to being the author of the book, Love & Limits: Achieving a Balance in Parenting, Ron is also a columnist/writer for several online parenting and family living magazines, including Voice of Wellness, Spilt Milk, Myria: the Magazine for Mothers, GeoParent, Fathers World, Simpler Living, Child Fun, The Family Corner, Second Wives Club, Foster Parents, Single Parent, Healthy Workplace, The Recovery Journal and many others. His own web site, Parenting Toolbox, has also been featured on Oprah.com.

A sought-after speaker on parenting and children issues, Ron appeared on The Leeza Show to discuss teen parenting issues. He also founded the Parents Work Bench, an e-mail discussion/advice list for parents and is the editor of the Parenting Thoughts, Quotes, and Smiles newsletter. In addition, he is the developer of the Home Builders Online Education program, specializing in web-based parenting classes.

Most importantly, Ron considers his roles as father and stepfather of four Generation Y children his greatest act of success so far - and, perhaps, the toughest job.
