Confetti Eggs

by Amy Schamburek

Here is a great craft to do with your kids, or surprise them instead with these fun eggs!

You will need:
Eggs (raw) (You will need to blow the yolk and white out. Directions can be found here.)
Food Coloring
Vinegar
Bowls
Large Spoon
Egg Cartons
Confetti (or small pieces of torn paper)
Tape
White Glue

Directions:
1. Make sure you blow out the eggs. Click here for instructions.

2. Gently place the shells in bowls of vinegar mixed with food coloring. I would use about 1/2 cup of vinegar with your favorite color combination.

3. Soak the shells until they are dyed. Use a large spoon to remove the eggs from the bowls. Place the eggs on on side down egg carton and allow them to dry completely.

4. Slightly enlarge the hole at the end of each egg. Fill the eggs about 1/2 full of confetti. Use tape to close the hole in each egg. You can also place a small amount of white glue to cover the whole. Allow ample time to dry.

More Ideas:

Egg tosses with confetti eggs are a smash! Arrange two lines facing each other and have participants toss the eggs back and forth, moving father away from each other.

Use confetti eggs at any spring party. After the eggs are filled, let quests squeeze them and sprinkle confetti over the heads of their friends.

For a more finished look, the holes can be covered with tissue paper that is dipped in egg white to make it stick to the shell.the end
